Our lives do not depend on every decision we make. Many books on self-development will tell you the opposite. But, do not listen. The books have to be wrong. If they were right, the majority of us would, by now, already be broke, sick, and even dead.
You have made some poor choices in your past, yet you are still here. You are still alive and breathing despite all the scary events which you thought were to ruin you, and worse, end you.
Think about all the moments when your reputation was on the line due to a poor decision you made. Maybe some things went wrong as a consequence, but I bet you survived it. Why? Because, as a human, you are more powerful and capable than you think. Your mind and your body are storages of limitless ability. The answers to your current problems reside within you, not outside of you. So you should not run away from anything that threatens to fail you. You have, within you, the strength to get through anything.
And, that includes the obstacles which you have seen most people failing to overcome, whether it was your parents, friends, or any significant figure in your life.
When you think you have failed, or are going to fail, you are thinking in the wrong way – you are not thinking in the way winners think. Winners think of failure as not failure – rather, as re-direction.
This means that in the mind of a winner, failure serves only one purpose: that of learning.
In the mind of a winner, failure is not something to complain about; it is something to be grateful for – because:
Look at the above formula and think of it this way:
Failure is a “buy one, get three for free” deal.
